A couple of months ago I came across this Instagram page called Deconstruct Skincare. It is full of information about ingredients, skin types, conditions etc. A few weeks later I notice that they launched their very own skincare line. These are mostly serums that are potent and active. I knew I had to try it out for myself, and so I did. Here’s my Deconstruct Skincare Review on their Pore Control Serum and their Breakout Control Serum.

Deconstruct Skincare Pore Control Serum
It contains 2% Salicylic Acid and 3% Niacinamide. Salicylic Acid, a BHA, exfoliates the layers of skin to remove dirt, dead cells and oils. It is one of the best choices to treat closed comedones (blackheads & whiteheads) pimples. It is especially suitable for people with oily acne-prone skin as it is oil soluble.
Niacinamide, on the other hand, absorbs excess oil from the face, reduces pore appearance and increases skin elasticity. It is an antioxidant and helps brighten and even out skin tone. It is capable of reducing pigmentation and is considered an all-rounder.
Pros:
- Excellent texture, it is not sticky, absorbs immediately and leaves skin feeling smooth
- Effectively removes blackheads and whiteheads
- Controls excess sebum
- Minimises pore appearance
- Does not pill while layering
- Fragrance-free
- Comes in a 15ml bottle making it great to test the product
Cons:
- None so far
Deconstruct Skincare Breakout Control Serum

Pros:
- Excellent texture (same as the pore control serum)
- Lightens pigmentation
- Works great as a spot treatment
- Does not pill while layering
- Controls excess sebum
- Fragrance-Free
- Comes in a 15ml bottle making it great to test the product
Cons:
- Minimised breakouts initially but the plateaued
Few things to note
This duo was tested by me & my brother Asad because we were both breaking out. His acne was leaving pigmentation/marks behind. My brother used this more religiously, and it gave him great results! So consistency is the key here.
Use the Pore Control Serum up to twice a week in your PM routine. And the Breakout Control Serum in your AM & PM routine. The Breakout Control can also be used as a spot treatment. Remember to wear broad-spectrum sunscreen the next day. Please remember that it takes time to show results. And the results may vary from person to person. The breakout control worked faster for me but took time for my brother.
My thoughts on Deconstruct Skincare
Get it! These are not only affordable, they work, are fragrance-free and have the best texture I’ve seen in the serum. Priced at ₹499 for 15ml and ₹799 for 30ml. Currently at 20% off!
